TimeLapse on Samsung Galaxy S3

On my Galaxy S3 running latest Android 4.3, TimeLapse (paid version) crashes after some time with an error "Sorry, camera could not be initialised".

I set the phone to factory defaults and flashed latest available Android 4.1 firmware. Now TimeLapse runs without errors. But I only got 50 photos within an hour with interval set to 10 sec. Photos are taken irregularly sometimes with up to 3 minutes between two shots.

I use external power and the screen is off.

247timelapse is not designed to take photos at short intervals like 10 seconds even though it is allowed. It will end up having camera problems and eventually stop as the camera failed. Try to use 60 seconds or longer capture interval. Unless additional information is provided, we will not consider this as a problem/bug.

Do you mean you downgraded your S3 from Android 4.3 to Android 4.1 in order for 247timelapse to work? Can you try to set your capture interval to something larger? e.g. 60 seconds would be more reasonable. 247timelapse is not designed to take photos at short intervals like 10 seconds even though it is allowed. It will end up having camera problems and eventually stop as the camera failed. The reason for this is related to our power saving algorithm.
