use as a dashmounted camera, 1/4 sec20 minute lopo

Old phones and tablets could be repurposed as dash mounted cameras like required by law in Russia, the source of all the wonderful crash videos on the web. If I had a couple of old phones I would put one in on my dash and one in my back window and run them anytime the key was in the ignition. 1/4 sec shutter speed and a 20 minute loop would be adequate.

It would also require:
- a transformer or two from 12 v to 4.7v or whatever the old device needs.
- some wiring of 12 volts from panel to mount locations, probably unswitched--current needed for running the camera 24/7 would need to be compared to allowable battery drain.
- mounts.
- some possible heat damage to electronics in the summer sun. I'm not sure what the Russian equipment does to avoid this. Quite likely nothing.

Enjoy.
